Khaybar Architectural Documentation and Surveys Project

End User: Royal Commission for AlUla (RCU)
Location: AlUla, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia

Chronicle Heritage conducted detailed architectural documentation and survey of two villages in Khaybar, Munifah and Abu Washih. Our work informed a program of conservation and adaptive reuse at the two villages. The fieldwork involved a full re-measurement of existing primary survey control points to accurately tie our work and future development into previous records; a detailed aerial drone survey; a handheld laser scanning survey using the innovative Zeb Horizon mobile scanner; ground imagery including photogrammetric coverage to complement the drone images as well as targeted record photography; and the on-site GIS recording of specialist architectural and archaeological information.
